Internet Income Opportunities for Jamaicans Highlighted in Gleaner Article
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Written by Career Writer Glenford Smith, the article was titled “Making Internet Income in Jamaica” and appeared on the cover of the Careers section in the Sunday Gleaner, dated January 31, 2016. Smith outlined the activities of Internet Income Jamaica, including his own experience with training he received at a recent boot camp put on by the company.
According to Smith, his visit to a Publishing Boot Camp put on by the company and featuring an American self-publishing expert, led him to a surprise discovery. “There are many Jamaicans quietly making a decent living, working on the Internet. These weren’t IT pros. They were ordinary, everyday people like you and me,” says Smith in his article.
The Gleaner writer, who is also a motivational speaker, success strategist and author, went on in his article to mention his meeting with one of the attendees at the boot camp, 68 year-old retiree, Cherrel Robinson, who was a graduate of a previous Internet Income Jamaica workshop and who was making money online. The article quotes Robinson as saying that she researched Internet Income Jamaica before deciding to attend their Freelancing Boot Camp, and that she was currently making up to USD$1,000 per month on the sites which trainees are taught to use by the company.
Noting that his column aimed to make readers aware of online money-making possibilities for Jamaicans, Smith’s article pointed out the ease at which people could start earning online from the comfort of their homes. Among the requirements identified include internet access, a computer, and strong work ethic. The article, which also included quotes from Internet Income Jamaica CEO, Alicia Lyttle, also highlighted the fact that the opportunities were significant for people who were unemployed and couldn’t migrate or those who sought part time work.
Lyttle was quoted as saying, “Just by having an Internet connection and a little bit of knowledge, knowing what sites to go on, you can really make money on the Internet from the global economy.”
The positive review by Smith’s article of Internet Income Jamaica’s boot camps and the earning opportunities they presented to many Jamaicans are backed up by a bevy of success stories posted on the company’s website by past students. “I set up my account to do video marketing and got my first gig in less than a week. I was excited. This really works. I have been hired over 30 times online since then,” said Ricardo G, who is making money online as a video marketer.
Smith’s article closed by encouraging readers to check out the Internet Income Jamaica website, which is https://www.internetincomejamaica.com, and their range of upcoming boot camps.
