How entrepreneurs and local businesses are getting creative during the COVID -19 crisis and how this will be the future of their businesses.
Amidst the bad news with the COVID-19 crisis, there are some stories that give us hope and show that innovation and adaptation will lead the way for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Here are some examples….
My zumba instructor has class on Wednesdays – virtually. Here’s the funny thing – I moved about 90 minutes away from where her studio is so I haven’t been a customer for 8 years – but when I saw her post on Facebook for virtual class – I’m a customer again. And then I sent the post to my sister Lorette and she’s a customer now again as well. So not only did she adjust for her current customers, but she will get new customers and re engage her old customers.
Noted local fitness expert and owner of Chai Studios had to adapt to online classes for her gym. She JUST learned how to use Zoom and got up to 100 persons in her first class, with plans to continue classes this week. And yes people are paying her through online transfers.
We, as a business, made the move to online classes about 18 months ago – just due to the fact that people globally wanted to take Internet Income Jamaica’s courses.
That shift has put us in a good position today – if you want to take one of our courses they are 100% online. One of our classes is 6 weeks and interactive and it meets 3 times a week in the evenings online.
Here are some tools that you might find useful to help your business during this time. We currently use all of these tools in our business on a regular basis.
